Annaprasana

First Feeding Ceremony

₹4800.00

Annaprasana, also called the “Grain Initiation Ceremony”, marks the transition of your baby from liquid food to solid nourishment. The ceremony begins with a traditional pooja seeking divine blessings for the child’s health, protection, and long life. Vedic mantras are chanted to purify and energize the environment, followed by the sacred moment when the baby receives the first divine spoon of Prasada, usually Payasa.

Traditionally performed in the 6th or 7th month, the date is selected based on the child’s Janma Nakshatra, ensuring an auspicious start filled with positive energy.

It is believed that this Samskara helps cleanse any unwanted elements consumed in the womb and blesses the child with purity, nourishment, and spiritual growth.

At Pujaparampara, every ceremony is conducted by experienced, certified Purohits who bring complete Pooja Samagri, ensuring a smooth, authentic, and spiritually fulfilling Annaprasana for your family.

Annaprasana is the beautiful Samskara where the baby is offered the first bite of solid food, traditionally rice or sweet Payasa. This ritual symbolises the beginning of strength, purity, and wholesome development for the child.

Our Vedic Pathshala–trained Purohits conduct the ceremony with all required Pooja Samagri and chant sacred mantras for the baby’s wellbeing.
